\"\"<\/a>Revisit with Skyy<\/strong><\/strong><\/span>, whose latest novel, Consequences<\/em>, has had women practically screaming for more of\u00a0Denise, Lena, Carmen and\u00a0especially Cooley.\u00a0 Skyy is an captivating\u00a0author, one who seems destined for even\u00a0more success in years to come.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let me just tell you – women have been desperately waiting for Consequences<\/em>. Why was there such a delay between the two novels?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>I know I really want to apologize about the delay.\u00a0 The economy had a lot to do with the original push back.\u00a0 Then when my publishers finally were ready to go to print the printer called the day it was supposed to hit the press and cancelled the order because of the books content.\u00a0 They had to find another printer at the last minute but I think it was better because I love the way the book turned out. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Choices<\/em> has been one of the most talked about novels on Sistahs on the Shelf. Why do you think that is?
\n<\/span><\/strong>Wow! I don\u2019t know but I\u2019m glad to hear it. I know most people who contact me state that the book is very real which is what I was setting out to do.\u00a0 I guess people can relate to the characters and the wild things they go through.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What will women find in your newest novel, Consequences<\/em>?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>People will find that the characters have grown a lot in the course of a summer\/year. They will see different sides to each character such as a lot more emotion from Cooley and even see different sides to sweet Denise and Nic.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It seems like the ending of Consequences lends itself to another story in the lives of Lena, Denise, Cooley and Carmen. What will happen next with our favorite lesbian college graduates?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Nothing, I\u2019m not writing another book\u2026lol just kidding.\u00a0 Honestly I can\u2019t say what will happen because I don\u2019t know yet.\u00a0 This may sound a little weird but I have to wait on the characters to come to me, it usually happens in a dream. When they start acting out their lives again in my head I\u2019ll start typing it out. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the downtime of between Choices<\/em> and Consequences<\/em>, what has been keeping you busy?
\n<\/span><\/strong>I am a club promoter for three of the largest GLBT clubs in Memphis so that takes up a lot of my time, but I love it.\u00a0 Besides that I just try to enjoy life to its fullest in between promoting my events and of course promoting my book.\u00a0 Looking forward to getting on the road and touring. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I heard your interview on The Michael Baisden Show<\/em> a while\u00a0ago, on the topic of women on the down low. Why do you think this has become such a popular trend?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>I think it\u2019s something that has been going on for a long time but is now being pushed in the forefront. Women want to feel true love and emotions and sometimes men just can\u2019t seem to do that.\u00a0 So they run across a \u201cNic\u201d or a \u201cDenise\u201d that can give them the whole package and they are hooked.\u00a0\u00a0 I don\u2019t think it\u2019s right to be on the D.L.\u00a0 I feel before you put yourself in that situation people need to think about what they truly want and go for it the right way. Nothing good comes out of lies and deceit. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How do you feel about your success and where do you see yourself going from here?<\/span><\/strong>
\nThings have been so wild.\u00a0 I still find it hard to believe that I was on The Michael Baisden Show<\/em> because that was one of the things that was on my top list of things I wanted to accomplish.\u00a0 I am hoping that more books and better deals come my way. I want to take my characters from the pages to the television or movie screen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
